Nefertiti Nofretete

You want to see more of my Work? Please visit my Homepage.

Nefertiti (egyptian Nfr.t-jy.tj ), spoken “Nafteta”, for "the beauty has come".
She was the most beautiful and as well the most mysterious Queen, of one of the largest empires in the history of mankind. Her kingdom was the old Egypt of the 4th Century BC, more than 3360 years ago.

She was the beloved wife of Akhenaten (Amenhotep IV) and mother of six children. Nefertiti gave birth to his six daughters: Meritaten, Maketaton, Anchesenpaaton, Neferneferuaton, Neferneferure and Setepenre.

How Nefertiti may had felt 1343 BC, when she led her people into the desert, in honour of the new monotheistic god Aten, and in order to avoid the influence of Amun’s priests at Thebes. Her destination was Akhenaton (now Tell el-Amarna), a city of gold, built to stay forever. It must have been dreamlike to take a stroll round the city. The buildings of the royal palace were richly decorated with statues, paintings and the walls were adorned with beautiful glass and ceramics inlays.

Nefertiti and Akhenaten were the first royal couple, who made their private life public. They published numerous in stone carved pictures of private and intimate family life scenes.
So they invented the historical predecessors of popular press and today's reality TV. There is no great difference between public relations (PR) of today and yesterday, only the media have changed.

In 2003, archaeologist Joann Fletcher, announced that Nefertiti's mummy, which had been searched for a long time, is one of the mummies in tomb KV35 in the Valley of the Kings.

Nefertiti had been nearly forgotten and now became miraculously famous, three millennia after her death. She was made famous by her bust of limestone and gypsum, now shown in Berlin's Neues Museum. She is one of the famous sights of Berlin.
This bust is - as well as my doll Nefertiti and like all art - a symbiosis of reality and an artist’s handwriting

But what kind of person was Nefertiti in her real life?
Her true life will forever remain a mystery for us.

Of course, one of history's most beautiful women - according to said bust - which you've hit spot on with this doll.
Your dolls are utterly alive and compelling to look at, bravo!

This is stunning! She looks so beautiful and delicate. I love how she's dressed in Egyptian fashion as well, too often I see people depicting Egyptians in completely inaccurate clothing. :P
