Helen was happily married to Menelaus, the king of Sparta, when she meat Paris. Paris was the eldest son of the king of Troy. In order to win Helen’s favour he used the support of the love goddess Aphrodite. Helen is known as the most beautiful woman in Greek mythology. She was the daughter of Zeus, who had seduced Leda in the shape of a swan. It is said Helen was born from an egg. Her sister Clytemnestra married Agamemnon, the king of Mycenae Castor and Pollux her brothers are known as the Dioscuri. Know Helen is torn between her loyalty to Menelaus and the newly inflamed love for Paris.
